17 March 2020 - ATTENTION VETERANS AWAITING AN APPEAL HEARING
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, the VA has suspended all Regional Office Hearings and the BVA has suspended all in-person hearings until at least 01 May 2020. Appellants who were scheduled for a hearing in that time frame will be given priority when hearings resume.
Appellants also have the option of choosing a Virtual Hearing that can take place from the appellants home via their computer or smartphone, with the Veterans Law Judge and the DAV Representative also logged into the call. To learn more about virtual hearings, click here: Virtual Hearing Fact Sheet

The hallmark of DAV has always been service. In addition to 1,638 certified Chapter and Department Service Officers located in 1,370 Chapters and 52 Departments, our 304 professional National Service Officers and Transition Service Officers are located in 100 offices throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
To become a NSO, an extensive 16-month training program is given to each NSO candidate. DAV is the only veterans’ service organization to that has a training program certified for college credit in legal research and writing, administrative law, litigation, introduction to para-legalism, pathophysiology and human anatomy by the American Council on Education.
Every National Service Officer is a disabled military veteran.
