AWARDS COMMITTEE
The Department of Virginia’s Awards Committee is dedicated to recognizing exceptional service, leadership, and commitment within our organization and the broader veteran community. Responsible for planning, purchasing, and preparing all departmental awards, the Committee coordinates honors presented to members, Chapters, and partner organizations throughout the year. Through a variety of distinguished recognitions—ranging from membership growth and community service to leadership and volunteer excellence—the Committee ensures that outstanding contributions are celebrated appropriately. In addition to maintaining award criteria and procedures, the Committee periodically reviews and recommends updates to ensure each honor continues to reflect the Department’s values and mission.
